Co - Curricular Activities

           All the branches of Engineering / Technology & Applied Sciences have their own associations which organize Technical meetings, symposia, etc. in their respective disciplines. The Coimbatore Regional Centre of the Indian Institute  of Chemical Engineers  functions with its office at the department of Chemical Engineering in the Institute.

          The Coimbatore centre of the Indian Welding Society (IWS) has been functioning in the Institute since 2002 in the department of Mechanical Engineering. A student branch of IEEE (USA) functions with its office in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in the Institute.

Technovation

             It is a national level technical symposium conducted during January/February every year.   This gives an opportunity to the Chemical, Civil and Mechanical engineering students to show their technical skills to all the participants. It is part of their learning process where they learn things that are equal for a successful engineer but not taught directly in their curriculum. 

Cyber Fest

            It is a National Level Student Technical Symposium organised by Computer Technology and Applications Association during January every year. Eminent people from  organisations like  IBM, TCS, ,INFOSYS, HCL Infosystems etc., are invited to deliver technical talks. The valuable inputs gained helps the students to hone their technical, managerial and organisational skills.

Interface

           It is an inter-collegiate technical symposia conducted by the circuit branches of CIT.  The event is usually conducted for two days in the month of February every year and is completely managed by the students with a staff advisor to guide them. Apart from the day time events online quiz competitions are also conducted during symposia days.
