The
workshop was inaugurated by
Dr. S.R.K Prasad, Director
CIT, under the
president ship of
Dr. R. Prabhakar, Principal of CIT.
The programme was attended by 75 delegates covering engineers from
industry, academicians, research scholars and students. Dr. Bantel
interacted with the delegates and narrated the importance of ergonomics
(Human Engineering) to be interfaced with strength design of the
products. He concluded with a video show on
TRANS RAPID,
explaining the rapid speed of train with linear induction motor.
Scope of the Workshop
Man
became a designer as soon as he began to modify the form of natural
objects. In designing any product, the following requirements namely
Technical requirements, Ergonomic requirement and Aesthetic
requirement are inevitably inter linked in one way or another.
Certain characteristics such as shape and size influence all
requirements and others may appear to be relatively independent. A
Designer should consider and implement the above requirements to become
successfully. Application of Industrial design aspects are very much
essential while designing and manufacturing both domestic and industrial
products to compete in the present scenario of global market. The
performance, versatility, appearance and cost are very much important
for any product to obtain excellence in the global market.
This
workshop provided information to designers, engineers, marketing
executives, academicians, research scholars and students about the
concepts of Industrial Design and its implementation to get success in
their field.
