“FOOTBALL GAME PREDICTION SIMULATION MODEL” is a system that provides the user a gaming environment where the results are predicted and shown to the user. The major objective is to prove that "Predictions says only the chance of success and does not assure the success". In business like stock market, people predict that some companies will gain and buy their shares. But they may gain or lose, i.e., people's predictions sometimes succeed and fail the other times. This fact is explained by NFL simulation. The results of the games of one full NFL season are predicted. NFL season is conducted by the system and the results are predicted by mining the internal NFL data. The users provide input as the rating for the NFL Teams and by selecting the players for each team. They will predict the NFL Teams to succeed in their games through their ratings. But it may happen in any way. The results are decided by mining the internal data such as user ratings, teams’ previous successes and many other data. The Data Mining algorithm used is "Classification".




   INTERNET OUTBOUND TRAFFIC MONITORING

INTERNET OUTBOUND TRAFFIC MONITORING is all about Malware Identification via Outbound IP Destination Address Analysis. Most security mechanisms in network firewalls consider only the inbound network traffic. Security will be higher if we consider also the outbound traffic. The main objective of this system is to capture the outbound packets and get the various information regarding those packets and alert the user if things look suspicious.

 

IEEE: Planned to submit this for IEEE in the near future.




   THUMB DRIVE SYNC UTILITY

Sync utility is an automated data backup of a thumb drive. When the drive is lost the files can be recovered from the machine it was connected to using the utility. Sync Utility maps a thumb drive to a folder on the computer, and then synchronize the contents of the two when the drive is connected. Sync utility provides both backup support and access to the most current version of the file from either medium. Sync Utility makes the process particularly user friendly that does not require any degree of tech savvy. Since the scope of the system is to develop a product, security measures are taken in order to avoid illegal use of the application. A licensing algorithm is devised using SHA-1 hashing algorithm to generate unique license keys in order to avoid piracy of the software.

Planned to incorporate an appropriate commercial license for the product to authenticate the software distribution.

Movie Forecast Guru is Web-based Decision Support System to help Hollywood managers make better decisions on important movie characteristics before the movie is release. These parameters are used to build prediction models to classify a movie in one of nine success categories, from a "flop" to a "blockbuster". The system employs a number of traditional and non-traditional prediction models like Artificial Neural Networks, Decision Trees, Logistic Regression and Discriminant Analysis as distributed independent experts, implemented as Web services. The Information Fusion Engine helps in improved performance by combined forecast. The user can perform Sensitivity Analysis on the decision parameters to make better investment.

 “Expertise Transfer System” is an earnest effort to overcome the hassles faced by industrial organizations with an aging workforce closing in on retirement age and to capture, codify and organize knowledge into a useful taxonomy and make it available to personnel in a manner that enables ease of access and retrieval.

 

Won two gold medals in the Women badminton singles and doubles championship at the International Olympics organized by the International Student Organization [ISO] and participated in the Indian Independence day celebration at Oklahoma State University.

The project entitled RETURN ON INVESTMENT ANALYSIS OF RFID IN RETAIL is a Hybrid Model for IT investment analysis for RFID application in retail sector. The adoption of Radio Frequency Identifier such as RFID tags RFID readers etc is on the agenda of many retailers. Many industries such as health care, military, financial services are working on implementing this technology. The motivation of this project is to develop a web based Return On Investment (ROI) model in order to collect data. This software helps the retailers to compare the profit obtained when RFID is implemented instead of the traditional barcode system.




   SMART TRACKER - CHANGE DETECTION SYSTEM

The project entitled SMART TRACKER – CHANGE DETECTION SYSTEM, is a Mozilla Firefox plugin which performs web page change detection and profile sharing. The project was carried out at Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma. The system enables change detection features to be incorporated in the Mozilla Firefox Browser. The plug-in automatically detects changes that have been made and updates them in the browser even as the user is going through the contents of the page. All this is done without any page refreshes or screen flickers, resulting in a smooth dynamic web experience. The plug-in also enables users to share their change detection information (such as web page addresses and interval rates) with other users.




   LIVE STREAMING SYSTEM PRESENTATIONS

The IRIS (Institute for Research in Information Systems) has certain Presentations Display Units .These PDUs (large TV monitors) are interconnected using hub. The presentations of faculties and students of IRIS need to be displayed in these PDUs. The IRIS website also needs to showcase these presentations. A presentation player is developed that recursively plays the presentations infinitely for ever and in order to show case these presentations on the IRIS website, the presentation player output is screen cast into the website using a media streaming system that implements the Real Time Media Protocol. (RTMP)




   SELF CHECK-IN RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM FOR CONFERENCE HALL

It is a utility system that would allow any conference to establish a special-type membership where each member’s card would be tagged with Radio Frequency Identification tags. The main features of the project are online conference booking, online conference handling, tracking users in conference halls using RFID readers, self check-in during the conference, online attendance tracking where layout design is used to track the attendance and security tracking where the time user entered and left the hall are tracked.

The Outreach Report Application is basically a report generation application that is developed as an add-in to Ms Excel. This application allows users to design their own template and also create report templates and generate reports based on the templates. This project has been developed with VB.Net as the developing language and MS Excel as the front end application and SQL Server 2005 as the back end.
