REPORT ON INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON 

RESPONSIVE SUPPLY CHAIN AND ORGANIZATIONAL COMPETITIVENESS (RSC-2004)

          Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT) in collaboration with University of Massachusetts, USA brought together researchers and scientists from all over the globe and discussed the very important and relevant topic of Responsive Supply Chain and Organizational Competitiveness (RSC-2004) - A Technology Watch of the millennium at the campus of CIT during 5-7 January 2004 through an International Conference.  This international conference had a number of research papers presented in parallel sessions ranging from e-supply chain to optimization of SCM through design and development of Decision Support Systems for quality and finally ending with modeling , simulation and control of manufacturing systems.

               The inaugural address was given by Dr. Yahaya. Y. Yusuf, Business School, University if Hull, United Kingdom.  The Chief Gust Mr. P. J. Mohanram, Managing Director, HMT (International) Limited, HMT Bhavan, Bangalore inaugurated the conference.  The conference ended on 7th January 2004 with the valedictory function.
