1.      Janaki Rajagopalachari Memorial Endowment Prize - Instituted by Sri. K.R.Ranganathan (Malco). This prize is awarded to the student who obtains first rank in the final B.Tech examination.

2.      Nedium Veetal Damodaran Endowment Prize - Instituted by Sri. K.K Menon, B.A.B.L., Asst. Commissioner (Retd.), H.R. & C.E.(Admn) Dept. Palghat. This prize is awarded to the student who secures second rank in the final B.E.(Electrical and Electronics Branch) examinations.

3.      Prof. A. B. Raman's Prizes - Instituted by Sri.A. B. Raman, Lecturer (Retd.).CIT.

              a) Proficiency in Engineering Geology

                  This prize is awarded in the form of books to the students who secures the highest total mark in the III and IV

                  semester university examination (including sessional marks) in Engineering Geology.

              b) Proficiency in English in B.E/B.Tech.

                  This prize is awarded in the form of books to the student who secures the highest total mark in the I and II semester

                  university examinations (including sessionals ) in English.

              c) Proficiency in English in B.Sc. Applied Science

                  This prize is awarded in the form of books to the student who secures the highest total marks in the I and

                  II semester

                  examinations (including sessional) in English.

4.      S. Saraswathi Bai Ramachandra Gupta Memorial Prize - Insituted by Dr.R.Prabhakar, Principal, CIT.

Coveted Medals are awarded to I & II rank holders upto and including VII semester examinations in B.E. (Computer Science & Engineering  branch). The rank holder must have passed all the subjects in  the first attempt.

5.      M. Selvam Endowment Prize - Instituted by Sri. M.Gunasekar, M/s. Visa Textiles,  Karur. A Rolling Shield is awarded in memory of late Sri Selvam every year to the student who is outstanding in academic performance as well as in extra curricular  activities. In addition to the shield , prizes are awarded to the students who obtain first rank in III, V and VII semesters in the branch of  Mechanical Engineering.

6.      Dr. M.S. Krishna Memorial Prize - Instituted by Coimbatore Regional Centre of Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers. Endowed by Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, Coimbatore Regional Centre, this prize is awarded to the B.Tech (Chemical Engineering) student who secures the highest aggregate of marks in the V, VI and VII  semester examinations put together. The student should have passed all the subjects in the first attempt.

7.   Savithri Dhanabalakrishnan Memorial Prize - Instituted by Mr. M. Dhanabalakrishnan, Assistant Professor in Civil Engineering, CIT.  This prize is awarded to the student who secures the highest aggregate marks upto and including VII Semester in Civil Engineering branch.  The student should have passed all the subjects in first attempt.

8.      Dr. Sarada Jagadeesan's Merit Prize - Instituted by Dr. Sarada Jagadeesan, Lecturer in the Maths (Retd.) ., CIT.

            These  prizes are awarded to the students who secure the highest total marks (including sessional) in the I year

            B.E /  B.Tech. examinations and I & II semester B.Sc Applied Sciences examinations.

9.      Prof. Swamidass Panneer Award - Instituted by Prof. S.Panneer Selvam, Professor in ECE (Retd.)., CIT. This prize is awarded to the student who secures the highest aggregate marks upto and including VII semester examination in B.E.  (Electronics & Communication Branch). The student should have passed all the subjects in the first attempt.

10.  Dr. N. Chattanathan award in Chemistry - Instituted by Dr. N. Chattanathan, Asst. Professor in Chemistry (Retd.)., CIT. This is awarded  to the students who get the highest mark in Chemistry in I year in the I & II semester of B.Sc.

            Applied Sciences examinations.

11.  Lalitha Kumar Memorial Awards - Instituted by Sri .S. Srinivasan, Asst. Professor in Physcis (Retd.)., CIT. These prizes are awarded to the students who get the highest marks in Physics in the I year B.E/ B.Tech. examinations and in the I & II semester of B.Sc. Applied Sciences examination and in Science of Creativity & Personality Development.

12.  Dr. Marimuthu Endowment Cup - Instituted by Dr. Marimuthu, Professor in EEE (Retd.)., CIT. This is awarded to the student who secures the highest aggregate marks (upto and including pre -final semester examinations) in B.E. Electrical & Electronics Engineering. branch. The student should have passed all the subjects in the first attempt.

13.  Dr. Rajappachetty Natarajan Endowment Prizes - Instituted by Dr. R. Natarajan, Prof. in Mechanical Engineering (Retd.)., CIT. These prizes are awarded to the students securing the maximum marks in the Engineering Drawing in the I year B.E./B/Tech., B.Sc (Applied Sciences), B.Sc (Applied Sciences - Computer Technology ) examinations.

14.  Dr. B. Viswanathan Endowment Prize - Institute by Dr. B. Viswanathan, Lecturer in EEE (Retd.) CIT. This prize is awarded to the best outgoing student from M.E (Applied Electronics) branch.

15.  Seshadrinathan & Seethalakshmi Endowment Prize - Instituted by Sri. Karthik Krishnan ,USA, Old student of CIT. This prize is awarded to the student who secures the Top Rank in the Final B.E (ECE) examinations. This prize is awarded to the best outgoing students of the Institute.

16.  Mr. R.Ganesan Endowment Prize - Instituted by Sri. Ganesan ,USA (1973 Batch). This prize is awarded to the student who secures the First Rank in the Second year examination  in E.E.E Branch.

17.  1973 Batch Students’ Endowment Prize - Instituted by 1973 Batch to students who have secured the highest aggregate marks in the second year (IV Semester) in all Engineering Branches.

18.  Sri. C.A. Ramaswamy Chettiar Memorial Award - Instituted by Sri. R. Subramanian, Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering (Retd.)., CIT. These prizes are awarded to the boy student who scores First mark among boy students in the I year Engineering Drawing subject and the girl student who scores First mark among the girl students in the same subject of the same branch.

23.  Savithri Dhanabalakrishnan Memorial Prize - Instituted by Sri. Mr. M. Dhanabalakrishnan, Assistant Professor in Civil Engineering , CIT. This prize is awarded to the student who secures the highest total mark in the III, IV, V Semester examinations in the branch of Civil Engineering.
