Two Day Workshop on

TEXAS INSTRUMENTS DEVELOPMENT TOOL (MSP430)

23rd and 24th of June , 2011.

            The Two Day Workshop on TEXAS INSTRUMENTS DEVELOPMENT TOOL (MSP430) was conducted by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering jointly with Industry Institute Partnership Cell of Coimbatore Institute of Technology,  in collaboration with Texas Instruments University Program and Cranes Software during 23rd and 24th of June 27, 2011.

The Inaugural function of this workshop was held on 23rd June 2011 in IT Building Conference Hall at 9.30 a.m. Principal and Patron Dr. V. Selladurai was the chief guest of the function. Dr. K. Subramanian, Head, Civil Engineering Department and Co-Ordinator IIPC, CIT presided over the function. Dr. S. Shanmugam, Administrative Officer was the Guest of Honor. Dr. A. Rajeswari, Associate Professor, Head ECE Department welcomed the gathering.    Dr. S. Uma Maheswari, Associate Professor gave an overview of the workshop  and  Ms. M. Poongothai, Assistant Professor (SG) presented the vote of thanks.

The scope of this workshop is to explore the architecture, features, peripherals and associated development tools of MSP430FG4618 microcontroller. Expert Members Mr. K. Sheik Abdullah and Mr. Danny Jayaraj from M/s. Cranes software demonstrated the features of Low Power MSP430  family of Microcontrollers and their enhancement in wireless communication and embedded systems exploiting the encouragement from the participants who found the conversation stimulating and useful. The participants also had excellent learning experience with hands-on training in MSP430FG4618 microcontroller and TI tool.

The workshop ended with valedictory function on 24th of June 2011 at 5 p.m. Principal Dr. V. Selladurai presided over the function and distributed the certificates to the participants. Forty one academicians from various Institutions participated in the workshop.
