The
Electrical And Elecronics Engineering Association organized a
one-day workshop on “ Embedded Systems and its
Industrial Applications” on 25th August 2005.
Speaker of the day was Mr. Mahendran Madaiyan, Senior
Engineering Product Manager, M/s. FLEXTRONICS India Pvt. Ltd.,
Banglore.
He
highlighted the key issues in Embedded Systems design for
Industrial Applications in three lecture sessions.
The First session of the workshop was
highlighted the concept of the Embedded Systems Hardware and
Software. He surveyed the design issues and it
particularly discussed the approaches to the appropriate use
of real time operating systems upon which must Embedded
Software is based.
The Second session was on the issues of problems encountered
in Embedded Product Development, how an Embedded system should
respond to an external event., how they should cope with all
unusual conditions without human interventions.
The
Third Session was on the applications of Embedded system in
Industrial Products like Air conditioning in a Multi-storeyed
building, In Automobile Engineering, Elevators and Medical
Instruments.
The Workshop was highly informative and motivated the young
Engineers.
