REPORT ON
INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON MODELING AND SIMULATION
(Emerging Methods towards Frontier Technologies
in Chemical and Physical Sciences)
The
International Conference on Modeling and Simulation (Emerging
Methods towards Frontier Technologies in Chemical and Physical
Sciences), CITICOMS 2007, was organized during 27-29 August 2007
at Coimbatore Institute of Technology, Coimbatore.
The
conference was multidisciplinary in nature incorporating modeling
and simulation in all engineering and science disciplines, namely,
Chemical Sciences (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and
Biotechnology), Physical Sciences (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical
and Electronics engineering) and Mathematics & Computer
Engineering disciplines.
The conference was inaugurated on 27th
August 2007 by Professor H.C. Michael Spiteller, University
Dortmund, Dortmund, Germany. He stressed the potential of natural
products for various applications. His address was widely reported
in Press.
The conference has served as a platform for
the engineers and scientists from developing countries and
developed countries to present their research findings and look
for a possible co-operation in terms of tie-up in their research
work / exchange of manpower / exchange of knowledge (or)
technologies with scientists from other countries. The papers
presented in the conference were very in technical content.
The conference
