Dear fellow Alumni,

   Greetings to you.  It gives me great pleasure to reach you through this column.  It has instantly triggered many of my sweet and un-erasable  memories of my college days.

    CIT was a Home away from home for five years for all of us.  From the campus life angle, interaction with totally informal and non-protocol Principal Prof. P. R. Ramakrishnan and the AT-HOME parties can even now be recalled from the memories.  I am sure many more CITians will have such cherished memories.  We stepped out of CIT with dreams, ambitions and determination to make a mark in this world.  In the bargain, our friendship discontinued because of geographical separation, diverging interests and busy schedule. Yet, in a corner of our mind, our concern for each other and the love for CIT remained ever green.  Now on 8^th March 2008 CIT Alumni Day (known previously as OSAN Day),  we have to seize the opportunity to meet again and cherish the pleasant  memories of our college life. 

    Let us all meet at CIT campus on 8^th March, 2008 to relax temporarily suspending personal and business worries, anxieties etc., The evening program on 8^th March will be full of fun, frolic, entertainment followed by dinner.  I am sure every CITian will enjoy every bit of it.

    On this happy occasion, I wish all Alumni and their

families long life, happiness and prosperity.

SILVER JUBILEE REUNION OF 1982 BATCH

(ENDRUM ANBUDAN 82)

   The Silver Jubilee Reunion of 1982 batchmates of CIT (Endrum Anbudan 82) was organized on 29^th & 30^th of December 2007. The Organizing Committee included the following office bearers.                       

    1.  Er. K.Periasamy.. Chairman

    2.  Dr. E.B.Perumal Pillai.. Vice Chairman

    3.  Er. G.P.Livingston Rose.. General Secretary

    4.  Er. Charles Rodrigues.. Treasurer

    Preliminary meetings were held in various places (Neyveli, Chennai, Combatore, Trichy and Rajapalayam).

    Silver Jubilee Reunion celebration started at the CIT Auditorium with registration of the members at 8.00 AM on 29^th December 2007. The grand meeting started with prayer song at 9.30 AM. Dr.E.B.Perumal Pillai, Vice Chairman welcomed the dignitaries and the gathering. Er. G. P. Livingston Rose presented the report which detailed the various steps taken at different stages towards organizing the mega event. Er.K.Periasamy, Chairman delivered the special address. Dr.R.Prabhakar, Principal, Coimbatore Institute of Technology delivered the presidential address. The encouraging and motivating talk given by Dr.S.R.K.Prasad, Director of Coimbatore Institute of Technology was appreciated by everybody. Dr.S.R.K.Prasad, Director released the souvenir. Prof.E.Ramasamy, Administrative Officer felicitated the gathering. Er.S.Charles Rodrigues proposed vote of thanks. 1982 batchmates honoured their members on the stage. The meeting was followed by a nice lunch hosted by CIT Management.

    In the afternoon, there was photo session in which all the members took group photos with the Director, Principal and the Administrative Officer. In the evening CIT Music Club and Dramatic Club entertained the gathering. Members of Endrum Anbudan 82 faculties also participated in the entertainment program. This was followed by twinkling bracken show and a grand dinner.

    The next day 1982 CITians travelled to Black Thunder and spent the whole day with family members. All the members expressed their gratitude to the CIT Management for the nice hospitality they enjoyed on both the days.
